"Ever since I picked up my first bat my coaches were always saying to keep your eye on the ball, don't overswing... just make contact and ya never know what'll happen," Land OLakes's Ken Grange told reporters after the game. "That's all I did today. I made contact and it turned out well."
It definitely turn out well for Grange today as he collected 5 hits in 6 at-bats against Princeton. It turned out well for his team, too, as the Golden Boys knocked off the Brutes 6-5 at Ballpark of Land OLakes.
K. Grange hit an RBI single in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, struck out in the 6th, hit a solo-shot off A. Parra in the 8th, singled in the 11th and singled in the 13th.
Looking at his stats this year, Grange has compiled a .323 batting average, while hitting 2 home runs and driving in 34 runs. He has played in 73 games and scored 34 runs. |

Rafael Hernández proved to be just what the Searchers needed to silence the Princeton bats. He allowed only 5 hits and led Minneapolis to an impressive 8-0 victory. For the game, Hernández registered 4 strikeouts and 1 walk.
To date this season Hernández is 5-6 with 13 starts and an ERA of 5.76 with 52 strikeouts in 84.1 innings.

 | Wednesday, May 20th, 2015: McErlean Hits in 20 Consecutive Games
St. Louis's Von McErlean was 1-5 in the Sidekicks 13-2 victory over the Princeton Brutes. That stretched his hitting streak to 20 games.
In the clubhouse after the win, the 23-year-old McErlean told reporters, "I'm in a groove right now, and I am trying to stay there by doing the same things over and over again. If I change something, it might bring me bad luck."
V. McErlean grounded out in the 1st, grounded out in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th and flied out in the 8th.
This year McErlean has hit 1 home run and posted a .387 batting average.
