"The kid had it all working last month," a veteran teammate told reporters. "He keeps up those kind of numbers, we may have to start inviting him out with us after the games."
Pat Wilson put together a very solid month to take home the Sub League 1's top pitching honor in June.
The 19-year-old reliever threw with confidence some veteran's lack. In 14 relief appearances he raked in 11 saves and 9 strikeouts in 14.2 innings as he put together his 2-0 record and 2.45 ERA.
This year Wilson has notched 12 saves. He has 13 strikeouts and 17 walks in 31.1 innings while registering a 4.31 ERA and a 2-2 won-lost record. |
 | Wednesday, June 24th, 2015: Black Aces Hutchinson Tosses Masterpiece
Mal Hutchinson of the Belmont Black Aces was lights out in a 3-hit whitewash of the Greensboro Silversides.
He told BNN reporters, "I had my good stuff and it went where I wanted it to go."
He registered 5 strikeouts and 2 walks in shutting out Greensboro 4-0.
In 16 starts this year Hutchinson has crafted a 10-2 record and a 2.49 ERA.

| Tuesday, June 23rd, 2015: League Issues Brown 4-Game Suspension
Wally Brown was suspended by the league for 4 games for "inappropriate conduct on the field," stemming from an altercation during a game with the Greensboro Silversides yesterday at Black Aces Stadium. The Belmont first baseman refused to leave the field for several minutes after being ejected by the home plate umpire over a third-strike call. His manager finally convinced him to leave the field, but had to step between him and the umpire several times.
Black Aces officials told the press Brown was not available for comment after the game.
So far this season Brown has gotten 29 hits in 79 at-bats for a .367 batting average with no home runs. His stats include 13 RBIs and 9 runs scored. He has played in 25 games.
