Pete von Tieschowitz burst onto the Sub League 1 stage in a big way last week. This promising rookie center fielder for Chalkville garnered everyone's respect by putting up some remarkable numbers and picking up the Player of the Week trophy.
The 22-year-old haunted opposing pitchers hitting .469 (15-32) with no home runs and 2 RBIs last week.
Currently von Tieschowitz is batting .302 with 76 hits and no home runs. He has knocked in 26 runs and scored 33 times. |
 | Monday, May 18th, 2015: Martínez Smacks 5 Hits for Flash
The Flash were defeated 7-6 today at Ballpark of Laredo by the Bulldozers, but you can't say Felipe Martínez didn't give it his best try. The Flash second baseman came to the plate 5 times and collected 5 hits. It was a good day for Martínez and a tough day for Laredo.
"I just go up there and swing away and hope it hits the barrel of the bat," he said. "There really isn't any plan."
No plan or not, Martínez delivered today... 5-5 is outstanding in any league.
F. Martínez singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and singled in the 9th.
Thus far in 2015 Martínez is hitting .296 with 2 home runs, 14 RBIs, 13 runs scored and has compiled a .358 OBP.

| Tuesday, May 5th, 2015: 5-Hit Blitz by King
Today the Bulldozers downed the Yellow Jackets 6-5 as Darryl King sprayed hits all over Ballpark of Chalkville in a 5-hit explosion, finishing with 5 hits in 6 at-bats.
The Chalkville right fielder said to reporters in the postgame interview, "It makes it easier if you get a good pitch. The odds are in your favor then, not the pitcher's. I got a bunch of very pretty pitches to hit today and I didn't miss any of them."
D. King singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th, singled in the 8th, singled in the 10th and hit a solo-shot off C. Padilla in the 12th.
To date this season King is hitting .340 with 2 home runs.
