| Breaking News |  | Sunday, October 5th, 2014: Walker Hurt, Out for Year
After injuring himself, Royals third baseman Lonnie Walker headed straight to the hospital. He was removed from the game as a precaution after running the bases and the team's worst fears were confirmed when it turned out to be a little more serious. Walker will miss at least 3 weeks with a torn groin muscle.
Currently Walker is batting .259 with 12 home runs and 73 RBIs.

 | Wednesday, October 1st, 2014: Stewart on Fire, 5-5 Against Guelph
Gus Stewart had an answer for everything the Guelph Royals threw him today in the Helena 5-1 triumph at Bobcat Park. He made good contact 5 times and 5 times he drilled the ball for a base hit.
The Helena first baseman went 5 for 5 in the game to put his name in the record book.
Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Stewart said, "I just see the ball and I hit it."
G. Stewart singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off C. Gray in the 8th.
In 2014 Stewart is batting .306 with 47 home runs and 111 RBIs.

 | Monday, September 29th, 2014: Orozco Caps Great Week
Carlos Orozco is respected by most Guelph Royals fans for his no-frills style of play. The 28-year-old right fielder went about his business with vigor last week to grab the Western League Player of the Week honors.
He compiled a .423 average (11-26) with 4 home runs, 5 RBIs and 11 runs scored.
This year Orozco has collected a .330 batting average to date with 188 hits in 570 at-bats, 107 RBIs, 37 home runs and scored 111 times. He has played in 147 games.
