Saturday, October 18th, 2014: Knox Finalizes Contract Extension with Brooklyn
Hoodrats fans were divided today as Brooklyn confirmed that the front office has signed Shawn Knox to a 3-year extension at a rate of $4,600,000 per year.

While many were enthusiastically behind the signing, others worried about Knox's age.

This year Knox is batting .263 with 21 home runs. He has scored 86 runs and driven in 95.

Sunday, October 5th, 2014: Ojeda Whitewashes Brooklyn
The Hoodrats tried, but could not solve Pittsburgh's Ed Ojeda, falling to the Pounders 1-0. Brooklyn managed only 6 hits off Ojeda, who kept opposing hitters guessing all day. In a strong route-going performance he had 3 strikeouts and walked 0.

In 2014 Ojeda has fashioned a 10-15 mark, 4.38 ERA and pitched 232.1 innings. Opposing clubs are batting .282 against him and he has logged 75 strikeouts.
