| Breaking News | | Tuesday, June 23rd, 2015: Season May Be Over for Diesel Robinson The doctors have spoken and Willie Robinson of the Detroit Diesel didn't like what he heard. The 27-year-old catcher is almost certainly gone for the rest of the year and depending on his progress could miss some of next season as well. Robinson sustained his season-ending injury during the Pittsburgh River Bandits game yesterday at Ballpark of Detroit. He had to leave the game because he hurt himself while running the bases. Today the Detroit medical staff reported Robinson had a torn posterior cruciate ligament and would be absent from the lineup for at least 12-13 months.
This season Robinson is swinging the bat at a .247 rate with 59 hits in 239 at-bats. To date he has hit 4 home runs, scored 20 runs and driven in 28. | | Thursday, June 18th, 2015: Kelly Spins Shutout Against Diesel Pete Kelly of the Brooklyn Hoodrats not only shut out Detroit 14-0, he made it look effortless.
