Sea Dogs Ballpark played host to a command performance by Lorenzo Rivera of the Fremont Sea Dogs. In shutting out Carl Junction 4-0, Rivera limited the Whitefish to 2 hits. The 21-year-old hurler also fanned 8 and walked 3 in capturing the victory.
This year Rivera has a 9-4 mark in 14 starts with a 2.55 ERA. He has given up 85 hits in 102.1 innings, struck out 80 and issued 34 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .225 batting average against him.
