Chad Clifton had a huge game today at Cincinnati Grounds. He rapped 5 hits in 6 tries and helped the Greensboro Ironsides overcome the Cincinnati Menace 16-3.
C. Clifton struck out in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th and hit a two-run double in the 9th.
In 2015 Clifton is hitting .259 with 91 hits, 3 home runs, 43 RBIs, .300 OBP and has scored 46 runs. |
 | Wednesday, June 10th, 2015: Martínez at His Best, Whips Sky Sox
Rodrigo Martínez of the Cincinnati Menace fashioned a fine 5-0 victory over the Saint Bonifacius Sky Sox. He held them to 2 hits with 2 walks and 8 strikeouts in a strong outing.
So far this season Martínez has a record of 2-1 with 32 strikeouts and 14 walks in 42.1 innings and a 4.04 ERA.

"He's got a bunch of different arm angles and his ball was really moving," said the Tampa manager after watching Nate López of the Cincinnati Menace humiliate his club 2-0 in a fine 5-hit shutout.
"If I make good pitches, I'm going to get some outs," López said after he befuddled the Hippies. "I was making good pitches the entire game."
He whiffed 4 and walked 1 in the complete game effort.
This season López has registered 4 wins and 4 losses in 8 starts with a 4.95 ERA.
