The Western League Rookie of the Year Award winner for 2014 is Curt Horton of the Omaha Evil.
This season the 24-year-old left fielder played in 157 games, recording a .288 batting average with 14 home runs, 77 RBIs and 92 runs scored. |

Curt Horton put up some real solid numbers to sew up the Western League Rookie of the Month honors this month.
In September he chalked up 37 hits, 2 home runs and drove in 12 runs. The Omaha left fielder compiled a .346 average and a .403 OBP as he worked opposing pitchers for 9 walks.
Looking at his 2014 season stats, Horton has compiled a .289 batting average in 153 games with a .367 on-base percentage, while hitting 14 home runs and driving in 77 runs.
