Pablo Pader relied on excellent pitch selection and pinpoint control to hold Modesto hitless in his 2-0 win.
"I stayed ahead of batters," he said after the game, "and was able to get a lot of quick outs. My defense deserves a lot of credit too. They had to be on their toes and they saved me several times."
The 22-year-old starter rung up 1 strikeout and 1 walk in whipping the Besiegers.
"When a guy is throwing strikes the way he was and is locating well, it is going to be a long day for any club," the Modesto skipper said.
This season Pader has 7 wins and 6 losses and a 2.45 ERA.

Besiegers pitcher Shigenobu Yokoyama did his job today, blanking the Plano Devastators at Ballpark of Modesto. He scattered 4 hits while striking out 2 in the 3-0 shutout.
