So far in his young career, Pete Lee has kept a low profile, but after his performance at the plate last week, he attracted the notice of the rest of the Sub League 2 in a big way as he was named the Player of the Week today for his efforts.
The 22-year-old Santa Ana Cutlasses left fielder hit at a torrid .423 clip as he collected 11 hits in 26 at-bats, 2 home runs, 7 RBIs and 5 runs scored.
Lee is batting .248 this year with 6 home runs, 21 RBIs and 18 runs scored. He has 36 hits in 145 at-bats.

| Monday, August 18th, 2014: Sub League 2 Hitter of the Week
18-year-old Mickey Roop made a few Santa Ana headlines during this past week as the rookie second baseman proved he could compete at the plate with his high-school idols. He captured the attention of fans, journalists and Sub League 2 officials last week and today took home Player of the Week honors for his effort.
He cracked 15 hits in 25 at-bats to put up a .600 average. Roop collected no home runs, 1 RBIs and scored 3 runs.
This year Roop has batted at a .372 pace with 64 hits, 2 home runs, 13 RBIs and scored 20 times.

 | Tuesday, August 12th, 2014: Stanley Tosses Shutout
Pete Stanley was stingy with runs in his latest outing against the Dragonflies. He shut them out 7-0 on 5 hits with 5 strikeouts and 1 walk.
The Santa Ana manager said, "Pete was very aggressive tonight. He threw everything he had with a lot of confidence."
The losing manager had praise, too. "He was throwing strikes with all his pitches and mixing it up well. Stanley has a sneaky fastball, and whatever that offspeed pitch was, it was keeping our timing off."
This season to date Stanley has a record of 4 wins and 2 losses with a 1.96 ERA, has appeared in 10 games and struck out 28 in 78 innings.
