Over the past month Kai-xi Min has turned quite a few heads. He's young, talented and able to pitch with the established arms in the Sub League 1. He proved all that and now he's been named August's Pitcher of the Month.
The rookie for the Orlando Seals posted 4-1 mark and a 0.99 ERA. In 6 starts he tossed 45.2 innings, permitted 37 hits and fanned 11 batters.
This season Min has worked 96.2 innings with 20 strikeouts en route to a 8-4 record and a 1.49 ERA.

 | Friday, August 29th, 2014: Carr Blitzes Orlando
He didn't put a spell on them. It wasn't black magic, it was just old-fashioned good pitching. That's how Jerry Carr of the Bellaire Ramjets blanked the Orlando Seals 6-0.
After tossing a complete-game 3-hit shutout, he was all smiles, saying, "I threw a lot of my pitches for strikes in this game. I mixed it up and tried keeping these guys off balance."
His own skipper said, "He's at his best when he gets ahead of the hitters." Carr walked 2 and struck out 4 in the victory.
The Seals manager commented on their lack of success against him, saying, "He was throwing his breaking ball for strikes and we never capitalized on any of his mistakes."
This season Carr has gone 4-1 with an ERA of 1.98, posting 25 strikeouts in 50 innings.

 | Thursday, August 28th, 2014: Bellaire Blanks Seals, Barnes at His Best
Mal Barnes allowed 3 hits while giving up no walks and collecting 3 strikeouts as Bellaire blanked Orlando 4-0.
In the postgame interview Barnes said, "I'm trying to keep the ball down and let guys put it in play. It worked for me today."
To date in 2014, Barnes has registered 5 starts, 3-1 won-lost mark, 1.77 ERA, 40.2 IP, 16 strikeouts and 4 walks. Opposing teams have hit .185 against him.
