Tuesday, September 2nd, 2014: Carbajal Cracks 5 Hits
Getting 5 hits in a game doesn't happen every day. Baton Rouge's Bernardo Carbajal had a very special day against the Defiants when everything came together for him. He really swung the bat with authority, getting 5 hits in 5 at-bats. However, it was Baytown that picked up the victory. They topped the Saboteurs 4-3 at Saboteurs Ballpark.

"I'm just out there to try and help the team win," Carbajal said after the game, "I had some real good at-bats today. I made good, solid contact and luckily no one caught 'em. I had a great day, but the loss kinda put a damper on the day."

Disappointed or not, he still gets his name written in the record books.

B. Carbajal singled in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

Thus far in 2014 Carbajal is batting .212 with 1 home run, 10 RBIs and 7 runs scored.

Friday, August 15th, 2014: Hunt Dominates Saboteurs in Shutout
In a splendid 5-0 shutout performance, Ernie Hunt of the Bellaire Ramjets subdued the Baton Rouge Saboteurs on a 6-hitter.

His manager said in postgame comments, "He kept hitting his spots and putting up zeroes."

Hunt registered 1 strikeout and no walks.

Thursday, August 7th, 2014: Joe Unknown Injured, Out for Season
Joe Unknown of the Saboteurs just might have to call it quits for the season. The 20-year-old Baton Rouge starting pitcher received a possible season-ending injury against the Milford Snipes recently at Saboteurs Ballpark. Unknown suffered a torn rotator cuff muscle while throwing a pitch. The Saboteurs medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 8 months.
