Wes Jefferson was sneaky fast, on the mark and hard to hit today. He blanked the West Pittston Gravediggers 3-0 on 3 hits and had no walks and 1 strikeout.
"You know what he's going to throw. You know what to expect. And you still can't hit it," the West Pittston skipper told reporters after the shutout loss to the Glendale Blue Sox.
"He just had a real deceiving fastball today and he was throwing it for strikes."
To date this year, Jefferson shows a 6-4 record, 10 starts, 79.1 innings, 27 strikeouts and a 2.16 ERA.

"I felt strong the entire game," González said. "I felt like I had my good stuff. It was just one of those games when everything was working."
