Friday, September 19th, 2014: York Blanks Glendale
The Glendale Blue Sox had no answer today for Mudcats pitcher Jermaine York. They failed to score a single run against him, losing 2-0. Glendale managed only 6 hits off York and suffered 1 strikeout.

To date this year, York shows a 8-3 record, 13 starts, 102 innings, 43 strikeouts and a 2.38 ERA.

Friday, September 19th, 2014: Alpena Wins Round 2 Crown
There is great joy in Alpena today after the Mudcats thumped Glendale 2-0 to cop the 2014 OTM Rookie League Round 2. They defeated the Blue Sox 4-2 to take the series.

This was the 2nd time Alpena has garnered the league title. During the regular season the Mudcats chalked up a 43-19 mark and finished in first place in the Sub League 2 Division 1.

Monday, September 15th, 2014: Harris Blanks Blue Sox
Before the game Don Harris liked his chances and his instincts proved to be right. In a superb outing the Mudcats pitcher whitewashed the Glendale Blue Sox 1-0.

Harris said in the clubhouse afterward, "I just had a feeling it was going to be my day. My control was awesome. I could throw my curveball even when I was behind in the count."

The Alpena starter held Glendale scoreless, giving up 6 hits while registering 1 strikeout and issuing no walks.

"We didn't have very many good at-bats," the Blue Sox manager said in his postgame interview.

"When that happens, you usually lose."

Over the season Harris has thrown 90.1 innings and dished out 31 strikeouts with a 5-4 mark and a 3.59 ERA.
